and my past weeks were..

Ang saya-saya nitong mga nakaraang araw. At andami-dami ring nangyari.
My mom told me na we once go there frequently, dun sa may singalong.Pag tumatambay nga ako kina kristine, parang gusto kong hanapin ung bahay nila. I remember na ung bahay nila na un ay napaka-of spanish architecture. Parang sa vigan.Gawa lahat sa kahoy, tapos parang kulay pula lahat. Polished kasi ung sahig.
Kukunin daw nia ako after ilang years para pumunta dun kasi senior microbiologist xa sa company nila.
  • first time ko makakita ng patay.
Grabe, nalasing ata lahat. Oh well, the best talaga ung night naun. haha..

repercussions..reverberations

sleepless on a saturday eve
i was thinking of u lately,
yes, very very recently
in fact, u were the very reason
i was awake last night
i ddn't know what triggered it
i really don't know, really
but the fact that I was thinking of u that night
you must be something to me
i was due for bed, twelve midnight
but the clock stroke two, and I'm hardly slumbering
i looked outside the window, I wish u were out
but to my dismay, we are kilometers apart
mixed emotions came and flooded my being
and I was suddenly flushed, undecided, unsure
but that very moment, I wish I could tell you that
I'm blissful, euphoric, just being next to you
Yes I was thrilled, but I suddenly thought
no, this is wrong, I probably should get over you
I'd be ripping off the our thin line of affinity
haha..plus we'd look un-good.
but after one eternity, I don't care
but I would be telling the world nothing about this
I'd be dead meat before they know, that for sometime in my lifetime
I almost thought my world was synonymous to you
before I wrapped up my thoughts, I made a pointless wish
i don't intend that you end up with me
but there's one thing that I hope be granted for me
I hope you stay, yes, that's all i wanted, and all i'd be asking for
I tried my best to sleep, fortunately, I did
but one thing's for sure, one thing's decided
I would be looking at you differently, from now on
yes, i would, but I'm making sure you wouldn't know it.

My Neuro-political lobe and the SONA-ta

At about 2 minutes past 4pm, all the channels of the local television were at a unified "not-so-regular" programming. They were awaringly broadcasting the 6th SONA of the president, and if i were not mistaken, this is her 6th reportage to the state.Wow. Tough staying power. 6 years has already passed and she's still the occupant of the highest position in the land.

The beleaguered president, after her 62-minute speech, which was thunderously applauded 167 times, on my count, and have had received 5 standing ovations was probably one of the sweetest and most beautiful of the orations she has delivered. Yes, I have been witness to 6 years of SONA-tas she has sang in front of her allies, sans her critics. From the change of color of her royal attire, from a cory-yellow, green touch of nature, then some Virgin Mary inspired color blue she wore last year, down to the recent's screaming color of red.At dahil colorblind ako sa blue at red variants, they were saying that it was a fuschia red. All I know was that it was a red, a glowing red, that is, that was screaming at me. It may have been so as to let the public know how triumphant she has been in her grip. Back to the speech, very well said, madam. Not only on the basis of such tumultuous amount of claps, but on the content as well. I could have thought by then how lopsided deposed ERAP's speech was then, which had about 20 or so claps. Wawa naman.

The country's CEO spoke of ambitious infrastructure-inspired projects. All 92 of them, subdivided into railways, roads, airports, RORO systems, etc. At an approximation, these totalled a tittilating P297++ billion pesosesoses. a gargantuan amount, and probably one of the country's biggest overhaul in entire history. Not to mention the creation of 5 mega regions, which were so damned technical, I can only remember quadrangles and beltways and cyber ewans.gulaykopo. But it paints a very rosy picture of how the country can get highly competitive in the global community. Almost changing the entire landscape of the country is one helluvan idea.Galing. wa ako ma-say.

The speech also veered away from those political sensibilities. Except for charter-change, of which i am favored, she highlighted the economy then and now and tomorrow. The 5 mega chum buckets she was parading were at a sense to ready the country to its federalhood, apart from the existing 16 regions na ang dami dami na hndi ko maalala ang lahat ng pangalan nila. The regions were grouped according to geopgraphy, economic contributions and resources, and of competitiveness. Just like the visayan group, which was the tourism center.

Hay nako, this is all becoming so boring na. To cut everything short, with the aid of a powerpoint presentation which I think was the first of its kind in the Philippine congress, it was good showwing of a leader of how she visions the country by the time she relinquishes her power, if ever, 3 years and 11 months from now. I just hope she would have accomplished even half of that. An impact of spurred growth is what it would create if that happens.

Until then, I'd be watching and reading the business sections of the broadsheets. Pero for now, she has earned my vote. Kaya yan. Viva el presidente!!
